T4i engineering: The winner of the 2023 European Commission Security Innovation Award
Brussels, 24th October 2023

T4i engineering received the European Commission (EC) Security Innovation Award for their product, T4i DOVER®, in a special ceremony in Brussels on 24th of October 2023. The award recognizes innovative solutions stemming from EU funded security research that have achieved significant success in market uptake of research results.

T4i engineering receives the 1st prize of the 2023 EC Security Innovation

T4i DOVER®is an advanced chemical detector developed by the R&D team of T4i engineering, specifically designed for use as a drone payload. It provides reliable chemical detection during UAV flight by addressing challenges related to speed and sudden changes of altitude, temperature and humidity affecting the detection performance. The detector combines orthogonal sensors for reducing false alarms and increasing situational awareness. T4i DOVER®uses the in-house developed Symbiotic Engine Software to seamlessly transmit chemical measurements and images to a Ground Control Station and a C&C center  for remote mapping and screening contaminated areas or locating sources of chemical emissions (see video).

The 2023 European Commission (EC) Security Innovation Award recognizes great examples of security research uptake and highlights the contribution of EU funded research to enhancing the civil security (see the official EC announcement).
